About This Class:
Are you a yarn lover like us? Well if you are you may know how hard it is to find that perfect shade you're looking for! Or a skein of yarn combining all your favourite colours? Or you simply want to put your own stamp on some yarn and make your me-made, truly me-made.

Jane has been dying fabric and yarn like mad this year and will talk you through all her tips and tricks she's learnt along the way. She will also talk you through how to manipulate the intensity of dyes and how that will affect the shades that appear on your yarn. We will learning how to dye with chemical dyes and Jane will give you some tips on naturally dying yarn too although this workshop will focus on chemical dying.

About This Class:
A wise man once said 'you are either in your bed or in your shoes so it pays to invest in both'.. and so in-comes our brand new workshop! And no, before you ask, we are not teaching you how to make a bed (haha) we are actually teaching you how to make your own leather trainers. So take a walk on your crafty wild side and stitch together a stunning pair of trainers to keep your feet looking fashionable this year.

In the workshop you will get a choice of styles to choose from; will you go for low top or high top trainer? Or go super high or super low? Yes there is something for everyone!

During this workshop you will learn how to cut your leather trainer pieces, construct and stitch the uppers (the top bit of the shoe), make professional holes with a leather punch, and lastly how to bring all these elements together to make a pair of pretty cool functional shoes - we promise. Depending on your ability of working with leather, you may have to finish the other shoe at home with your needle and instruction sheet, if this happens don't worry because you will be well on your way to finishing the pair in the class.

You will learn all the tips and tricks how to beautifully construct an extremely professional looking lampshade from scratch to either hang from a ceiling or attach to a base. 

Design and make your own lampshade to match your upholstery, wallpaper, curtains or room theme and literally light up a room with this fun virtual workshop.

This workshop is fantastic if you have vintage or old lamp bases that you cannot part with and wish to spark a lease of life into them or if you want to add that personal touch to any room. Learn how to make a bespoke lampshade. We will supply the wire base and drums and all the other bits you need and you supply the fabric (fabric should measure a minimum of 820mm wide x 255 mm).

What Do I Receive in my Kit:

We will send you a full lampshade kit to make a one of kind addition to your interiors that will include everything you need.

Your lampshade will measure 25cm (diameter) x 21cm (height) when its all made up. 

You will just need a pair of scissors and your chosen fabric. 
For ease, avoid directional prints but if you would like a directional print please bear in mind that the fabric will be used in a “landscape / horizontal” direction so if you have any prints make sure that they are the right way when laid across in this way. Fabric should be cotton (i.e. no stretchy fabric such as t-shirt material or heavy twill fabric).

Winter is all about cosy nights in, with soft lighting, reading in bed or on the sofa under a cozy blanket. It's been proven that lighting can have a calming effect on your mood and warm lighting creates a comforting and cozy atmosphere.

In this workshop you will get to create and play with air dry clay and when it comes to homewares it's such a great technique to know as you can really customise these handmade clay lamps without the need for a kiln.

During this session you will be working with air dry clay and we will talk you through some techniques and tips to achieve smooth finishes, and even rolling of your clay.

We will work with you step by step to create these cylindrical shapes for our lights and with the left over clay we will make a little trinket dish to match you lamp. We will also show you how to create that sought after speckled painted look.

What you need:

• A rolling pin (or anything that can be used as one such as a bottle of wine, drinking glass, or smooth water bottle for example).

Learn how to make your very own collection of statement headbands without needle and thread or a sewing machine. 

Create your own bespoke version that will add a little extra pizazz to your wardrobe. You will learn how to make 3 different headbands - a braided headband, a padded headband and a wider turban style hairband.

Once you've learnt these different methods you can easily revamp your winter hair accessories and make new hairbands using thicker more wintery type fabric.

Do I Need to Bring Anything:
You will need to supply your own glue gun, a pair of scissors and fabric, everything else is provided in our kit. Don't dismiss pre-loved clothing the fabrics can make great headbands. Or scout our your local fabric stores! We used pre-pleated fabric for our braided versions but any fabric will do!

What Does My Kit Include:

Punch Needle crafting is a very relaxing and therapeutic craft, and now we have a Christmassy twist to it! Punch needle is a cross between embroidery and rag rug latch hooking and in our online punch needle class you'll learn how to create two the different effects at the same time with your tool, whilst making adorable baubles!  

During the session we will show you how to make the smaller hoop (red one in the picture) just so you can get the hang of it and then we will give you the full instructions on how to make the larger bauble (the teal one). We are also on hand with any questions you may have whilst you do this bauble.

We will be using a punch needle tool and wooden embroidery hoop with suitable fabric for needle punch stretched over it. This is suitable for all ages - you can easily do it with children as the tool is not too sharp and its a wonderful craft for children to take part in.

Jesmonite is a versatile material, made from non-toxic environmental friendly "cement like" powder and a water-based resin that will create a different effect each and every time. You will learn what the correct measurement of each component is, how to weigh it, mix it, add colours and textural effects to create one of a kind unique decorations. We will teach you the terrazzo effect and also how to create a marble effect or multi colours too. You get to choose the colours too!

About This Class:

Tunisian crochet is something that is so beautiful yet a technique that most crocheters haven't attempted. It's a cross between knitting and crochet and really is a genius little crafty invention.

So if you know how to crochet then why not learn?

If you already know your chains from your single crochet and are looking for a little bit of a challenge then this workshop is perfect for you. During this workshop you'll make a sampler Tunisian crochet square with three different stitches on; simple stitch, knit stitch and net stitch. You'll use gorgeous cotton yarn for your sampler, so don't let it go to the back of your craft cupboard, use it as a face cloth or dish cloth after you are done! We will send you everything you need for this craft, including a lovely Tunisian crochet hook (think of a long knitting needle with the crochet hook at the end) and some high quality cotton yarn!

Learn how to knit yourself a super cozy blanket! You've probably owned/borrowed/wished for a knitted blanket from Grandma, but never believed you could knit yourself one too! Well we're here to teach you how to knit! We've taught hundreds of people how to knit so join the club. 

In this relaxed workshop you'll learn how to knit, cast on and cast off and and how to sew knitted items together. By the end of the class you'll be able to knit multiple squares which you'll then sew together to make one big blanket. This is our most pinned workshop and we are so excited to teach you this easy way of knitting to knit a blanket. It doesn't matter how big or small you want it the method of knitting is the same. No complicated maths or thinking needed! Our kind of project indeed.
