About This Class:
Join us for this Beginners Knitting class and knit your pooch the perfect accessory for this upcoming winter and festive season. This project is for complete beginners so do not worry if you have never picked up a needle. We will teach you all the skills you'll need in order to knit this dog jumper in time for the festive season.
Before this workshop we will ask you to measure your furry friend and fill in a worksheet, so we can have a bespoke pattern waiting for you upon your arrival (but you will get full instructions on how to do this! We are also happy to provide general measurements based on a small, medium, and large dogs too.
During this workshop you will learn the vital knitting skills that every knitter needs; cast on, knit stitch, decreasing, cast off and sewing together using a lovely method that is almost invisible to the eye and it will look like nothing was sewn together! The workshop will start off by getting you to practice casting on and then knitting for a while, once you've got the hang of that you'll learn how to decrease and cast off. Once you're comfortable with that we will all start our dog jumpers so you can leave with the dog jumper started on your needles. The pattern is very easy and each participant will receive exclusive access to a video reminding you how to knit and finish the jumper including a reminder on how to sew it together.
