About This Class:

Fair Isle knitting is a knitting technique used to create pictures or images within your knitting using different colours (this is also known as “stranded colour work knitting”). In this workshop you will learn two-colour fair isle and how to knit a summery flower design. 

The flower design is a very popular design to knit in fair isle and this is what you will be knitting up whilst learning how to knit fair isle. Once you’ve learnt the technique you will be able to follow any fair isle pattern or chart without a hitch! Fair isle will no longer seem impossible. 

In this live online class you will make a cute little fair isle sachet. Enough yarn is supplied in your kit to make one sachet. Fill with some lavender for a lovely smelly item or just hang it somewhere in your home for a handmade touch.

Literally light up a room with this fun and virtual online workshop. Make a bespoke and unique Lampshade or ceiling Pendant light in this online workshop. You will learn all the tips and tricks how to beautifully construct an extremely professional looking lampshade from scratch to either hang from a ceiling or attach to a base. 

Design and make your own lampshade to match your upholstery, wallpaper, curtains or room theme and literally light up a room with this fun virtual workshop.

This workshop is fantastic if you have vintage or old lamp bases that you cannot part with and wish to spark a lease of life into them or if you want to add that personal touch to any room. Learn how to make a bespoke lampshade. We will supply the wire base and drums and all the other bits you need and you supply the fabric (fabric should measure a minimum of 820mm wide x 255 mm).

What Do I Receive in my Kit:

We will send you a full lampshade kit to make a one of kind addition to your interiors that will include everything you need.

Your lampshade will measure 25cm (diameter) x 21cm (height) when its all made up. 

You will just need a pair of scissors and your chosen fabric. 
For ease, avoid directional prints but if you would like a directional print please bear in mind that the fabric will be used in a “landscape / horizontal” direction so if you have any prints make sure that they are the right way when laid across in this way. Fabric should be cotton (i.e. no stretchy fabric such as t-shirt material or heavy twill fabric).

As you may have already guessed, we LOVE sweet treats here at Tea & Crafting, we think they make everything better. So we thought we'd learn how to make them pretty, and now you can too! Our tutor, Bhavi is a professional Mehndi artist and a fellow sweet treat lover. She will take you through all of the steps of how to decorate 6 (almost-too-good-to-eat) biscuits and will give you all the skills needed to replicate the artwork at home.
This is an extremely mindful and practical 2.5 hour workshop. You will learn how to control your icing to create those lovely straight professional lines and dots, learn all the little hacks that only an experienced biscuiteer could pass on, as well as design your own biscuits with a lot of inspiration and ideas available to you! Then you will be given a box to take home your biscuits in, it's up to you if they make it home to your loved ones or not.

About This Class:

If you're looking for a quick and easy knitting project, these chunky merino wool mittens are perfect! Knit a luxurious pair of mittens made from 100% Merino wool to keep your hands warm all winter long. If you would prefer a vegan wool alternative, no problem, we can source this for you too.  

In this workshop, we’ll guide you step-by-step through knitting one mitten during the class, and you’ll complete the second mitten at home - in fact you may probably even start your second mitten in the class. 

Not only will you learn how to knit a pair of luxury fibre mittens, 100% merino, but you'll also master essential knitting techniques like shaping your work neatly, which will be a valuable skill to add to your knitting repertoire. You'll work with beautiful chunky merino yarn, making the project go faster and the merino wool will give your mittens extra warmth and softness. The mittens require minimal sewing, so the focus will be on knitting, not piecing things together. 

By the end of the workshop, you’ll have one mitten finished and the skills to confidently knit the second one if not have made a start on the second one. About This Class:

You will learn the art of block printing in this 2 hour class. Block printing has been practiced for hundreds of years and our tutor will make it easy for you to replicate this technique onto a tote bag.

You will have a chance to mix your own professional fabric paint and learn how to design a beautiful printing block to achieve a similar look to Indian block printed fabrics. This really is a fantastic class where you learn skills that will really inspire you to get creative with printing and learn the art of repeat patterning. 

All materials are provided including inspirational books and crafty magazines. You can also bring any other fabric item that you would like to print onto.

About This Class:

Embroidery is a highly therapeutic craft, it's really beautiful too! So why not get started on your embroidery adventure with us and Hannah from Couture Craft? During the session you'll learn how to stitch up this stunning bee and by the end you'll be well on your way to finishing this creation.

Hannah will take you through each stitch you'll need to complete the bee, as well as telling you how to transfer the design onto your fabric. This is a great project to get you on your way to become an embroidery pro, as it requires many different techniques and stitches; all that will be taught to you.

Your embroidery design will stay in the hoop and you can hang it on the wall for show! Once you’ve mastered the skill, you can try napkins, sheets, pillowcases… In fact, there won’t be a soft furnishing in your house left unadorned!

About This Class:
Winter is all about cosy nights in, with soft lighting, reading in bed or on the sofa under a cozy blanket. It's been proven that lighting can have a calming effect on your mood and warm lighting creates a comforting and cozy atmosphere.

In this workshop you will get to create and play with air dry clay and when it comes to homewares it's such a great technique to know as you can really customise these handmade clay lamps without the need for a kiln.

During this session you will be working with air dry clay and we will talk you through some techniques and tips to achieve smooth finishes, and even rolling of your clay.

We will work with you step by step to create these cylindrical shapes for our lights and with the left over clay we will make a little trinket dish to match you lamp. We will also show you how to create that sought after speckled painted look.

Once you've learnt these different methods you can easily revamp your winter hair accessories and make new hairbands using thicker more wintery type fabric.

You will need to supply your own glue gun, a pair of scissors and fabric, everything else is provided in our kit. Don't dismiss pre-loved clothing the fabrics can make great headbands. Or scout our your local fabric stores! We used pre-pleated fabric for our braided versions but any fabric will do!

Here’s one that will leave the fashionistas week at the knees. The classic bobble hat is a stylish project for anyone with a little experience to build from and now even those who have NEVER knitted can knit one up too!

Spend a few hours learning to knit in the round with circular needles, how to increase and decrease to shape you hat to fit warmly around your head.

Make sure your beautiful knitted hat is as unique as you are by adding on a pom pom that will add a splash of your personality to the hat (but don't worry you don't have to add a pom pom!)
