We.LOVE.Crochet. In fact the entire Tea & Crafting team have picked up their hooks during all three lockdowns and none of us have any plans to stop. We're never stop thinking of ways we can teach crochet to beginners whilst crocheting up some cute and useful projects too that are always good enough to give away but you'll always want to keep them for yourself!
During this live and online beginners crochet workshop you will learn how to crochet chain stitches and how to crochet this stitch that is perfect for a coaster, extremely beginner friendly too. You will also master how to hold that hook and transform a long piece of rope into this trendy coaster!
If you can already crochet but fancy making these then we are also offering this as a kit only without the workshop. You will get all the materials you need as well as a photographic step by step by pattern.

We all know how versatile crocheting is; it allows you to create beautiful, functional items for yourself and the home, and in this workshop, you'll master this cute flower pattern and learn how to follow a pattern. Our popular beginners knitting workshops are well thought out so that you can learn how to knit but at the same time knit yourself a garment you will wear too!
This workshop is similar to our beginners knitting workshop however with we focus on the knitting a snood and following a very simple pattern to achieve this (so you learn very basic pattern reading too). We cover the knit stitch, casting on and casting off.
This is a really fun workshop and whilst you will not finish your item in the workshop you will be well on your way to completing this by the time you leave (and we reckon you will need approximately 2-3 hours at home to complete this).
There will be plenty of take home instructions for you to follow and to re-create this at home as well.

About This Class: Learn to capture the movement and feeling of flowers, to how to effectively create single stems of flowers and leaves. Michelle will take you through colour mixing, and how to use different tones and hues to create focal points in a painting.
You will be shown how to use harmonious colours, and capture the shape of leaves and flowers using gestural brush marks. After practicing, you'll learn how to combine the botanicals into a floral urn painting, using a methodical approach that allows you to achieve a successful shape.

Learning a few felt flower making techniques, Anjie will take your through the basics of the flowers and help you create your very own festive wreath. Absolutely no crafty skills are needed, if you can use scissors you will be well on your way to making these gorgeous festive wreathes. Once you have learnt the basics of wreathe making you can then go on to make spring and summer wreathes and even floral felt crowns. About This Class:
We use soap so much in our daily lives, so we might as well make it the best soap it can be! This workshop is led by Zero Waste and soap maker enthusiast Bottega Zero Waste. During this session you will start off by learning the basics behind soap making, including how to formulate your own recipes. Then you'll get to the fun bit and learn how to customise the colour and scent of your soup, making this a truly personalised and educational session.
You'll walk away from this session knowing all the steps on how to make your own soap from scratch, what materials you need to replicate it at home, as well as some handmade soap AND a mould! This session will be perfect for anyone looking to sustainably create their own washing products or just those wanting to know how to make the most amazing handmade gifts for their loved ones!
Important: this class involves making soap from scratch which means handling some caustic materials (sodium hydroxide). We will teach you all the safety measures and provide you with goggles, aprons and gloves. However if you feel uncomfortable handling this ingredient, we can carry this step out for you!

Last Summer the Tea & Crafting studio went tie dye mad, no piece of clothing was safe from our new found tie dying skills and now we've worked out how to deliver our obsession into your new home!
Jane will talk you through all her tips and tricks on how to turn one white t-shirt into a super colourful, uber fashionable and crazy comfy tie dye t-shirt that you'll love forever.
In your kit you will receive: a t-shirt, elastics and pre-measured dye in 3 colours. We've done all the hard work for you and you'll be tie-dying in no time with our tie-dye kit you will receive in the post and our online workshop guidance.
During the session you'll learn many ways on how to fold your t-shirt to create that distinctive tie dye look, you'll also learn our tried and tested formula for mixing the dye to create those beautiful and vibrant shades and patterns as well as some super useful tricks!

A fun craft night for the summer. Learn how to knit / crochet with your finger creating fun bracelets and necklaces. Easy to make for all ages and all abilities and best of all you only need your hand + a tshirt!
Finger knitting is a great, quick way to create a beautiful rope-like design and is really fun to do. In this session you'll create colorful and bold accessories from old T-shirts, such as necklaces, bracelets and even hairbands. You keep making until the session is over and then you can go home and cut up more clothes and carry on knitting .... It's so easy the whole family can join in!
Any t-shirts will do - new or old but make sure its at least an adult size M or a loose S (i.e not a tight fitting skinny-tee).
