I have teamed up with our enormously talented calligraphy tutor, Anthea, and we've put together a bespoke Teens and Parents (carers) Modern Calligraphy workshop that's perfect for total beginners. Don't worry about having neat handwriting or being "artsy"or even "crafty - all you need is the desire to try something new together!
You'll get to:
- Learn the basic strokes the basis of all calligraphy writing
- Create cool letters, learning how to join them and put them together into words and quotes
- Play with metallic and white inks, and mix your own custom colours

Do I Need to Bring Anything:
No nothing at all. You will each get your own kit with high end materials and paper that you will take home with you with plenty of supplies to keep writing and practicing at home.

We keep our classes small - maximum 5 pairs in a workshop
All our workshops include unlimited tea, coffee and we always have plenty of cake on offer at every workshop and vegan friendly biscuits. If you require gluten free sweet treats please let us know! For our special teen guests we will have juice available too.

Our beginner’s workshop in modern calligraphy is a one-off calligraphy course that will teach you everything you need to know starting right at the basics. This course is designed to equip you with the fundamentals needed to create stunning lettering.
You will learn about the tools of calligraphy and technique, learning how to write each calligraphy letter. This is also perfect for brides to be wanting to use calligraphy on their wedding stationery or just anyone wanting to learn to write beautifully.
If you are left handed this is no problem, just let us know in the "order notes" so we can provide you with a different pen to hold the nib.

1 oblique pen holder
1 nib
1 pot of black ink
Take home sheets with the full alphabet and plenty of practice sheets
