My Knitted Bag

This weekend my other half and I went to Woodstock in Oxford. It felt like we were hours and miles away from London, but the reality is it took us about an hour to get there from home. Bliss. Just what travelling should be like; no early morning flights to catch, no struggling to pack in everything under 23kgs and no boarding passes to have printed out. Just an easy, stress-free weekend away. The best bit about this whole trip was that I got lots of “passenger” time to knit. I’ve wanted to knit a bag of some sort for such a long time. Instead of pre-planning what I would wear on Saturday and Sunday I pre-planned the making of my knitted bag (note to self – this is why you had no toothbrush, pyjamas or socks in your overnight bag) and my bamboo handles arrived just in time phew!

So in the car I knitted and knitted away as we got stuck in traffic and made our way to Woodstock. I quite like my self-designed knitted bag. In fact I seriously love it. I used two balls of Rowan Big Wool in “Blue Velvet” to make this up, and it took me about 3-4 hours in total.
